Tracy grew up on Quarrier Street in the East End of Charleston and went to Piedmont Elementary School before attending Charleston Catholic High School. Following high school, she attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville and earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in 1996. After a couple of years as a civil engineer, Tracy decided to change course and follow in the footsteps of her father to become a Pediatric Dentist. Tracy’s dad, Dr. Tom Wilkerson, was a pioneer of Pediatric Dentistry in West Virginia, and Tracy had always admired his ability to connect with patients and their families. After additional course work at The College of Charleston in South Carolina, Tracy attended West Virginia University School of Dentistry, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2002. At WVU, she was selected to be a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and received other awards and honors for her clinical and classroom achievements.

To complete her pediatric training, Tracy finished a Residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Kentucky in 2004, where she served as Chief Resident. She then returned to Charleston to begin her dental career, practicing as a Pediatric Dentist at Children’s Dentistry, the dental practice founded by her father. Unfortunately, due to her father’s failing health, Tracy was never able to practice dentistry with her dad, however, she takes immense pride in the fact that she was able to continue his practice and follow his example of meeting the dental needs of children in West Virginia.

Tracy is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She enjoys helping children in her professional role as well as in her role as mother of three, Meredith, Wilkes, and Nora. As a parent herself, she always treats the children in her practice as if they were her own.

In addition to providing quality dental care, Tracy has made “giving back to the community” a major focus of her life and a central part of the mission of Children’s Dentistry. Tracy and her dental practice support many organizations that impact the lives of her patients and everyone in her community. She frequently participates in and supports organizations who focus on meeting the needs of children and women in our area. In the past few years, Tracy and Children’s Dentistry have provided financial support to and fundraising efforts for:

  • West Virginia School of Dentistry Foundation

  • Alzheimer's Association of West Virginia

  • Kanawha County Humane Association

  • CAMC Foundation

  • Raleigh County Humane Society

In addition to financial support and fundraising efforts, for more than 17 years Tracy has served on the Kanawha County Dental Health Counsel, which provides school based dental care for children. She and her family have also participated in mission trips to La Digue, Matheux, Haiti, to provide care, support, and love to people in that village. Finally, in recognition of her father’s commitment to the profession, Tracy has also established the Dr. Tom Wilkerson Scholarship which she awards to patients in her practice who study in the field of dentistry or dental hygiene.

Tracy and her husband, Rob Aliff, an attorney with Jackson Kelly PLLC, are dedicated to the community in which they live and strive to make West Virginia a wonderful place to live and raise their children.
